Who are we?

Focused on valuing the district’s traditions, culture and natural wealth, the Institute divides its actions into three main axes:

The confidence that working and improving the activities in each one of these areas will strengthen the progress in the region is the premise that moves the Institute’s work towards the growth of São Luiz do Purunã.

Perfomance Fronts

Entrepreneurs' Appreciation

Believing in the strength of local entrepreneurs and the potential of the region for sustainable tourism are decisive steps to promote the growth of São Luiz do Purunã through actions that contribute to the development of the population and thus of the district. With the valorization of local handicraft productions and preservation of culture, ecotourism and traditions, through projects such as Visit Purunã, Digital Museum and Routes of Purunã, we intend to further strengthen the actions in support of this objective.

Young Empowerment

The Purunã Institute believes in the potential and protagonism of young people in the region. For this, projects are developed that favor their empowerment, by encouraging the participation of adolescents in formal education and entrepreneurial training. The goal is to encourage young people to perceive themselves as agents of their future and their community, through experiences aligned with the principles of sustainability and entrepreneurship.

Strengthening Public Management

The performance of public management is fundamental for sustainable development, since the result of its work directly impacts the community. The Purunã Institute contributed by offering training for educators and students aimed at educational development and developing projects to promote tourism and the quality of life of local residents, as well as articulating strategic partnerships to strengthen public policies.
