On May 7th, the Institute opened its head office in the district of São Luis do Purunã. In addition to the members of the Advisory and Fiscal Council, the communal leadership, representatives of the public administration, and partners of the Institute participated in the ceremony. Among them were the NGO Society for Wildlife Research and Environmental Education (SPVS), represented by its Executive Director Clovis Borges, who highlighted the importance of the region for the preservation of local biodiversity. Mariano Lemanski, founder and president of the Purunã Institute, emphasized that it is with the help and collaboration of those with the will to act, that the local vocation will be strengthened.
